Friction between Valentino Rossi and Ducati after the Qatar GP earlier this month to make speculations about the future of "The Doctor" continues to unfold. MotoGP world champion seven times the suspected would immediately end its partnership with the team based in Bologna, which was recently acquired by the German auto giant Audi.
However, Rossi opportunity to move to Honda or Yamaha are slim given the two former team explicitly've closed the door for him. Therefore, the hope is to join the Italian rider with a satellite team (if it actually moved), or perhaps create a new team for him.
In the midst of an uncertain situation about the fate of Rossi for the 2013 season, Herve Poncharal spoke up, which also cools the atmosphere. The site GPinside, Tech 3 team owner reveals his belief that Rossi will continue to strengthen Ducati, at least until his contract expires.
"We all worry about our friends at Ducati, and to Valentino," the manager said the Frenchman. "Of course it would be difficult for Rossi, whose contract expires along with other riders, to binding contracts with other manufacturers, both Honda and Yamaha, as a factory rider."
"If he decides to ride a bike the Japanese satellite, then the choice is only Tech3, Gresini, or LCR. But, even under much pressure and tension in the midst of all this, I'm not sure he will leave the Ducati. Only time will tell for sure, but I'm sure he'll turn things around, and in the next few races he'll do much, much better than what he did in Qatar. "
